Project Manager – R&D
  • Job description
    • Key Responsibilities:

      · Collaborate with academic researchers to generate robust proof-of-concept data aligned with development goals for translating genome editing therapeutics.

      · Oversee external studies to generate targeted, supportive data regarding delivery efficacy, genome editing effectiveness, therapeutic effectiveness, off-target analysis, and safety evaluation.

      ·Analyse and interpret R&D data to identify gaps and suggest studies that strengthen the overall therapeutic genome editing package.

      ·Present scientific data and program strategy clearly to diverse audiences, including internal teams, investors, and government authorities.

      ·Synthesize data into clear reports and provide recommendations to guide program strategy.

      ·Prepare and submit compelling grant applications to secure funding from academic and government schemes.

      ·Monitor and review CMC data from external partners to ensure drug supply aligns with preclinical and clinical development timelines.

  • Qualifications & Requirements
    • ·PhD in biological science or medical-related field.

      ·Candidates must have direct hands-on R&D experience in gene therapy development, with a strong preference for genome editing (e.g., CRISPR-Cas related research). A deep understanding of the scientific principles and technical challenges of genome editing is required.

      ·Preferred industry experience within biopharmaceuticals or advanced therapeutics, with an understanding of the drug discovery pathway and translation.

      ·Good command in English and interpersonal skills, with experience to collaborate effectively with academic, corporate, or government stakeholders.

      ·Possessed track record of preparing and submitting successful grant or funding applications is an asset.

      ·Willing to travel to Chinese mainland and outside China.

      ·Capable and willing to accept ad hoc assignment arranged by management team.
